Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our Mount Isa operation. Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, you will provide safe, cost-effective procurement services and maintain accurate ERP records, including SAP, while liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

You will perform requisition conversions, update purchase orders, expedite overdue orders, reconcile invoices, and support end-users. Growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or procurement role, ideally in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate procurement records within ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify purchasing requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
• Daily duties include purchase requisition conversions, PO updating, expediting overdue orders, invoice reconciliation, and supplier liaison.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic and successful team. As a key member of the team and reporting directly to the Procurement Coordinator, this multifaceted role will see you responsible for:

• Providing safe and cost-effective procurement services that supports a sustainable mining operation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records within ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to clarify purchasing requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
• Daily activities include purchase requisition conversion, purchase order updating, overdue order expediting, invoice reconciliation, supplier liaison and end-user support.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Certificate III/IV in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline
