Job summary

Emeco International in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to manage end-to-end procurement of mining parts, services and consumables across multiple mine sites in Australia.

In this fast-paced role you will own the procure-to-pay process, work with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, and support site performance with proactive expediting and accurate purchase order management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a purchasing role.
• Experience purchasing mining, mechanical, or heavy equipment parts (highly regarded).
• Experience using large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDE).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Source parts and services in line with company policy and preferred suppliers
• Generate purchase orders and manage follow-ups
• Proactively manage vendor purchase orders, including back orders and overdue items
• Expedite parts to ensure on-time delivery to site
• Book couriers and freight providers to meet delivery deadlines
• Perform regular expediting and dispatch follow-ups
• Coordinate and resolve invoice queries with internal teams

Are you an experienced Purchasing Officer with a background in mining or heavy industry? Our team is growing and we’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven professional to manage end-to-end purchasing of mining parts, services, and consumables across multiple mine sites throughout Australia.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your ability to source efficiently, expedite effectively, and keep operations moving will directly support site performance.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the full procure-to-pay process, ensuring critical parts and services are sourced, ordered, and delivered to site on time. Working closely with vendors, freight providers, and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in maintaining operational continuity.
