Job summary

Moco Food Services in Wacol, QLD, is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support day-to-day purchasing and ensure the right products are available at the right time. This is a high-volume, administration-heavy role focused on generating and maintaining purchase orders and updating systems.

You will monitor stock requirements, follow up suppliers, and collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse and Sales to keep products flowing and customers supplied.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, administration, inventory, supply chain or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Comfortable with high-volume, repetitive administrative tasks and PO generation.
• Confidence using Excel and learning ERP and purchasing systems.
• Strong communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

About the Role

As our Purchasing Officer, you'll support the day-to-day purchasing activity that ensures Moco has the right products available at the right time.

This is a high-volume, administration-heavy role, with a large part of your day spent generating and maintaining purchase orders, updating systems, checking information, following up suppliers and working through repetitive purchasing tasks.

You’ll also monitor stock requirements, help identify potential supply issues and work closely with our Procurement, Warehouse and Sales teams to keep products flowing and customers supplied.

You're organised, accurate and genuinely enjoy getting things done.

You're comfortable with repetitive, process-driven work and can maintain attention to detail while working through a high volume of tasks. You enjoy being busy, following things through and knowing that the work you do plays an important part in the wider business.

Most importantly, you're eager to learn, happy to roll up your sleeves and looking for an opportunity to grow your career in Purchasing and Procurement.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

• Experience in purchasing, administration, inventory, supply chain or a similar role will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Comfortable completing high-volume, repetitive administrative tasks and generating purchase orders.
• Confidence using Excel and learning ERP and purchasing systems.
• Strong communication skills and confidence following up suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within food, FMCG, wholesale or distribution would be advantageous.
