Job summary

Novotel Sydney Darling Square, part of Accor, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead day-to-day procurement for the hotel. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will source, negotiate and manage food, beverage and hotel supplies while building strong supplier relationships.

You will monitor stock levels, optimise costs, and collaborate with Culinary, Housekeeping and Front Office to meet operational needs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A good understanding of inventory and stock control.
• The ability to work independently while being a collaborative member of the wider hotel team.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Culinary, Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments to understand and deliver their purchasing needs.
• Source and purchase food, beverage, operational and general hotel supplies.
• Monitor stock levels, inventory movements and purchasing requirements to ensure appropriate supply.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing and terms.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and maximise value without compromising quality.
