Job description

AWA Kitchens is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team and drive the development of our procurement business. You will be responsible for managing procurement across our three factories in Adelaide, Canberra, and Melbourne, covering wood panels, countertops, hardware accessories, adhesives, packaging materials and production auxiliary supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement company-wide procurement strategies tailored to cabinet manufacturing demands
• Coordinate procurement plans for three factories in Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne to match production schedules and order demands
• Conduct regular supplier performance evaluation (quality, delivery, price & after-sales), optimize the supplier pool, and negotiate favorable cooperation terms
• Monitor the price fluctuation of wood, hardware and other materials in the Australian market, carry out procurement cost analysis and budget management
• Continuously explore cost-saving solutions while strictly adhering to product quality standards, balance cost, quality and delivery cycle
• Work closely with interior teams to reasonably control inventory levels of raw materials and finished accessories
• Standardize the management of procurement contracts, purchase orders, delivery documents and supplier qualification files
• Keep track of Australian manufacturing industry policies, material industry trends and supply chain risks

About you

• 5+ years of solid working experience as purchasing manager, familiar with the procurement operation of manufacturing industry is preferred
• Outstanding negotiation, communication and supplier management skills
• Strong budget control, data analysis and planning capabilities, able to formulate scientific procurement plans and effectively control procurement costs
• Excellent team leadership, organizational coordination and problem-solving skills, able to efficiently coordinate cross-departmental work between multiple factories
• Rigorous, detail-oriented and responsible working attitude, able to adapt to the working rhythm of manufacturing enterprises and cope with dynamic production demands
• Proficiency in office software and procurement management systems
