Job summary

Far West Mills And Solar in Broken Hill, NSW, is seeking a hands-on technician to install and service pumps, solar pumping systems, and water infrastructure. This role includes outdoor work, remote travel, and on-the-job training, with a clear pathway toward senior/Operations Manager responsibilities overseeing jobs, staff and equipment.

The successful candidate will be mechanically minded, reliable, and eager to learn, with a valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to remote sites

This is a hands‑on role with on‑the‑job training provided. You'll work on pump installations, servicing, repairs, solar pumping systems, stock watering systems and general water infrastructure. For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to develop into a senior technician and Operations Manager, taking on responsibility for coordinating jobs, staff, equipment and day‑to‑day operations.
