Mattara Hotel in Newcastle is seeking a Publican (Venue Manager) to lead all aspects of the venue, drive guest experiences, manage a high-performing team, and ensure safety and compliance across operations.

This full-time role requires RSA, RCG and NSW Licensee qualifications. With a salary from AUD 95,000 plus superannuation and bonus, you’ll build local relationships, manage P&L, and influence pub culture while growing within the ALH Hotels and Endeavour Group network.

We're on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

Standing tall on the corner of Charlestown Road, The Mattara Hotel is a premier destination located in the heart of Newcastle. A modern and exciting hotel that boasts multiple bar and dining areas, state of the art Sport Lounge and superior Function spaces.

Whether our guests are looking to enjoy a meal with family, relax with friends after a hard days work, or celebrate a special event, they can look no further than The Mattara Hotel.

Salary: From $95,000 + superannuation + bonus

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

Hold current industry RSA,RCG and Licensee qualifications as per NSW state requirements
