Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd in Australia seeks a Principal AI Sales Specialist to advise government leaders on AI strategy, governance, and multi-year roadmaps.

You will translate complex tech into business value, shape national agendas, and drive adoption at scale, blending thought leadership with enterprise sales in the public sector. This role partners with AWS teams to nurture pipeline and support RFP responses while ensuring compliance with ISM/PSPF/IRAP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or NLP, or deploying LLMs in production on accelerators
• Experience in the public sector
• Experience with government IT, data centers, cloud services and cloud adoption
• Understanding of Australian Government security/compliance frameworks (ISM, PSPF, IRAP) and data sovereignty

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor to senior government executives on AI strategy, governance, and adoption roadmaps
• Represent AWS in public sector AI thought leadership, events and executive forums
• Support end-to-end sales cycles including RFP/RFT responses and panel arrangements
