Mills Oakley is a leading national law firm hiring a Lawyer or Associate to join our Insurance team in Sydney. The role focuses on Public Liability and Professional Indemnity matters, working with Michael Down and Nikki Cassar.

You will handle smaller matters initially, progressing to larger cases in District and Supreme Courts. The successful candidate will manage file deadlines, review evidence, and communicate with clients while developing litigation skills in a collaborative, supportive

Qualifications

• 1-4 years’ PQE in litigation.
• Experience in Public Liability and Professional Indemnity is preferred.
• Professional approach with client service focus.
• Strong academic record.

Responsabilités

• File management including meeting deadlines and managing documents.
• Reviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantum.
• Communicating with clients both in writing and verbally.
• Identifying issues, briefing experts and analysing opinion.
• Preparing court documents, including statements of evidence.
• Drafting correspondence and communicating with other practitioners.
• Preparing for, managing online processes and appearing in Court.
• Briefing and liaising with counsel.
