Job summary

Mills Oakley in Perth is seeking a Senior Associate (5-8 PQE) to join the national Public Law team. You will provide advice, litigation and dispute resolution services to key government clients.

The role covers all aspects of public law, including administrative decision-making, FOI, privacy, merits review and judicial review in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Courts. You will work with leading experts and mentor junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' experience in Government litigation
• Exceptional advocacy and courtroom skills
• Ability to guide and mentor junior lawyers in a team setting
• Strong client relationship management and professional conduct

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, litigation and dispute resolution services to government clients
• Handle matters across public law incl. decision-making, FOI and privacy
• Engage in merits review and judicial review in Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Courts
• Collaborate with leading Public Law experts and supervise junior lawyers
