Job summary

NSW Health in New South Wales is seeking a Health Manager Level 4 to lead the Epidemiology and Data Systems Branch within Health Protection NSW. You will manage a multidisciplinary team to support notifiable condition surveillance, data governance and evidence-based policy development.

The role involves collaboration with NSW Health agencies and national partners to strengthen public health intelligence, with a focus on data sharing, privacy and security across state and federal levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in the development, operation and management of public health surveillance systems.
• Extensive experience in data management including collating, reporting and ensuring data quality.
• Understanding of ethical and privacy principles and their application to data collections.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated team of epidemiologists, data managers, data analysts and biostatisticians.
• Oversee data management, surveillance, timely and accurate reporting, and evaluation of health policies.
• Provide advice on data governance, privacy, security considerations and interpretation of results/data.
