Job summary

Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley, part of Accor, is seeking a reliable Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who loves early starts, takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a welcoming guest experience in a busy hotel.

You will start shifts at 5:30 AM and be responsible for cleaning the lobby, corridors and public bathrooms, replenishing amenities and reporting maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

• Availability to start shifts at 5:30 AM.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A team player who takes pride in keeping spaces looking their best.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring our hotel's public areas are clean, fresh and welcoming at all times.
• Cleaning and maintaining the lobby, corridors, public bathrooms, lifts and other shared spaces.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Replenishing amenities and supplies in public areas.
• Identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Working closely with the Housekeeping Team to create a positive guest experience.
• Following hotel hygiene, health and safety standards.
