Job summary

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Attendant to join our dining venues. You will deliver welcoming, professional service across restaurant, bar, café and events, with a focus on guest experience and teamwork.

Shifts are mostly in the dinner period between 2pm and 11pm, with a requirement for flexibility including weekends and public holidays. RSA is preferred, and working rights in Australia are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in espresso coffee making and bartending will be highly regarded.
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) is required or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, primarily evenings but may include early mornings from 5:30 am, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly and attending to their dining needs.
• Taking orders accurately, making recommendations, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages with attention to quality and presentation.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables.
• Collaborate with team members to handle guest requests and resolve any issues professionally.
• Following hygiene and safety standards, including food safety and allergens requirements.
• Assisting with event setups and functions in the restaurant.
• Delivering in-room dining orders.

As a part‑time team member, you will be paid at the award rate of $27.08 per hour plus applicable penalty rates on weekends and public holidays.

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will be the face of our dining venues and play a vital role in delivering friendly, professional, and memorable service to our guests. Your focus on the guest experience and working as a team will help create exceptional experiences across our restaurant, bar, café, and event operations.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in restaurant and bar service is preferred - a passion for providing great guest service is what will really make you stand out!
