Job summary

HEQ Services on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated cook or chef for a fast‑paced pub kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items, maintain high standards of presentation, food safety and cleanliness, and work closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef in pub, bar, restaurant or similar venue.
• Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Reliable, punctual and organised.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items consistently and efficiently.
• Manage your section during busy lunch, dinner and event periods.
• Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Help deliver fast, quality meals during major sporting events and peak trade.
