Novita is recruiting a Psychologist (Provisional and Registered) in South Australia. The role sits within an established disability services provider offering therapy, assistive technology and community programs.

The psychologist will manage a diverse caseload across children, adolescents and adults, with supervision and development opportunities in a multidisciplinary team. The position supports flexible working arrangements and requires AHPRA registration, with commitment to safeguarding

Qualifications

• Must be registered with AHPRA and eligible for provisional or full registration.
• Post-graduate experience in the disability sector (early intervention, paediatric or adult) preferred.
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder or clients with a physical disability is desirable.
• Ability to apply a range of clinical interventions.
• Experience supporting the clinical development of other therapists.
• Strong assessment, documentation and reflective practice capabilities.
• Willingness to travel using own vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Manage a clinical caseload including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment programs.
• Apply and evaluate interventions to meet goals in line with organisation standards.
• Design and execute clinical interventions under supervision of experienced staff.

Our 5+1 Psychology pathway starts with a supportive and extensive internship that includes:

• An intensive initial orientation, blending collective learning with all our new graduates and practical time at your office to meet and shadow your peers
• Clinical supervision in line with internship requirements, where you can work to develop a clear professional development plan to ensure you continue to receive the tailored support you need
• Regular coaching from your team leader to manage and balance the requirements of your internship clinical work
• A diverse clientele with a chance to deliver assessment and intervention services to children, young people and adults living with disability, as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Registered Psychologist

As a Registered Psychologist you will undertake the following activities:

• Managing a clinical caseload involving the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the appropriate treatment/management program, as well as opportunities for undertaking standardised assessments where relevant.
• Selecting, applying and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and their ability to meet goals and objectives in line with organisational practice standards.
• Designing and executing clinical interventions under the guidance of experienced clinical staff based on evidence-based practice.
• Providing formal or informal supervision to junior staff. Please note that this is not a requirement for success in this role, however opportunities are available for board-approved supervisors to work with provisional Psychologists and students where appropriate.
• Assisting in the delivery of training and education programmes to a range of employees within the organisation and other relevant external organisations.

About you

As well as being aligned with Novita’s ICARE values, you will bring:

• Psychology registration with AHPRA
• Post-graduate experience working in the disability sector, within an early intervention, paediatric or adult setting
• Working with autism spectrum disorder or clients with a physical disability diagnosis
• Demonstrated awareness and experience to apply a range of clinicalinterventions
• Demonstrated performance in supporting the clinical development of other therapists
• High-level skills in assessment, clinical recommendation and therapy provision, report writing and reflective practice.
• A solutions-focused approach to support service and program development
