This role is ideal for a registered psychologist seeking to utilise their clinical experience in an advisory capacity, whilst maintaining strong engagement with treating clinicians.
It may also suit a provisional psychologist or a professional with a relevant qualification in psychology, mental health or related disciple with experience in occupational rehabilitation, injury management, or return-to-work services.
You will draw on your knowledge of evidence-based practice to review diagnoses, treatment plans, support clinical decision-making, and contribute to improved recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
You will also have opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, deliver clinical education, and influence best-practice approaches across psychological injury management.

This will be a full time, contractto December 2027 position based in our Sydney office, with work-from-home flexibility considered from month three, subject to performance and approval.
Engage with GPs and treatment providers including treating psychologists to optimise diagnosis, treatment planning, and recovery outcomes.
Complete file reviews to provide expert psychological opinion on treatment efficacy and injury recovery.
Identify the need for additional medical opinion and services, such as Independent Medical Examinations.
Deliver training, coaching and education to internal and external stakeholders to support best practice psychological injury management.
A relevant qualification and professional background in psychology, mental health or related discipline.
Current AHPRA registration
Clinical experience treating psychological and mental health issues.
Strong understanding of disability, injury management and recovery principles.
Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated experience working in the personal injury industry preferred, with experience with the workers compensation insurance, and legislation desirable.
The ability to engage respectfully and confidently with clinicians, treatment providers and other claims stakeholders, including constructive conversations about treatment direction and recovery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft office suite
