Be a psychologist. We'll take care of the practice around you.If you enjoy the autonomy and variety of private practice but don't want to spend your time finding referrals, managing appointments, dealing with accounts or running the business behind your clinical work, we'd like to talk to you.
Sunshine Coast Psychology Clinic is an established, locally owned psychology practice operating across Sippy Downs and Maroochydore since 2007, and we're looking for great psychologists to join our growing clinical team.
Rather than advertising one narrowly defined vacancy, we're open to building the right position around the right clinician.
We're interested in hearing from psychologists looking for:
Full-time or part-time employment
Approximately 2–5 days per week
Sippy Downs, Maroochydore, or a combination of both locations
A role that can be shaped around your experience, clinical interests and preferred client groups
Employment is our preferred engagement model, providing the security and simplicity of being part of an established practice without needing to run your own business.
However, we recognise that experienced private-practice psychologists may prefer to work as independent contractors. For the right clinician, we're very open to discussing a contractor arrangement as well.
We currently have our greatest opportunity for additional clinical capacity at Sippy Downs, with opportunities also available within our Maroochydore team.
So whether you're looking for five days, three days or perhaps only two days each week, don't rule yourself out because you don't fit a predetermined roster.
For the right psychologist, we'd rather have a conversation and work out what could work for both of us.
RemunerationWe believe in being upfront about remuneration.
For employed positions, our Total Remuneration Package (TRP), including superannuation, ranges from approximately $105,000 to $155,000 FTE, depending on registration, experience, clinical capability and the position.
As a guide:
General Psychologists: approximately $105,000–$135,000 FTE including superannuation
Clinical Psychologists: packages may extend to approximately $155,000 FTE including superannuation, depending on experience and capability
Part‑time remuneration is paid on a pro‑rata basis.
Contractor remuneration is structured differently and can be discussed with candidates interested in that model.

Who we're looking forYou’ll need:
General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
An ethical, evidence-based and client‑centred approach
The ability to work autonomously while enjoying being part of a larger team
Experience in private practice is valuable, but it isn't essential.
We're also very happy to hear from recently fully registered psychologists who are ready to establish themselves in private practice with an experienced team and administration structure around them.
Additional experience or training in areas such as trauma, EMDR, neurodiversity, across the lifespan is welcomed – but we're much more interested in finding an excellent clinician and colleague than somebody who ticks every possible box.
