Job summary

The NSW Police Force is seeking a Psychologist to join the Police Psychology, Health & Wellbeing Directorate in Sydney. This role provides psychological fitness-for-duty assessments and wellbeing programs for NSWPF personnel, delivering evidence‑based advice and intervention to support resilience.

This is a part-time position, 21 hours per week, with a pro‑rata salary. Base salary ranges from $79,592 to $118,316 per year, plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Psychologist to be part of our Police Psychology, Health & Wellbeing Directorate. This position is responsible for providing psychological fitness for duty assessment and monitoring of NSW Police Force personnel. The psychologist will be part of a dynamic team comprising Police Psychology and will work with the team to deliver evidence-based assessment and psychological advice to NSW Police. The psychologist will provide programs which monitor officers' exposure to potentially traumatic incidents with an provide skills to increase wellbeing and resilience.

An opportunity to work within a dynamic team of professionals directly involved in the support and monitoring of NSWPF personnel. The role will attract someone who enjoys, or would like to learn more about, police psychology practice, including the use of assessment tools, brief intervention strategies and monitoring processes in a frontline emergency services population.

This role is part-time, working 21hours per week. Salary will be paid at the pro-rata rate.
