Job summary

RMSI Pvt. Ltd. in Parramatta, Australia is hiring a Provisioning Engineer to own network designs and drive activation on live networks. You will plan, configure, test, and commission services across fibre, transport, and IP networks while coordinating with Field Engineers, NOC, and third parties.

The role requires hands-on provisioning skills, strong coordination, and an ability to work in shift-based environments, including after-hours windows and on-call cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, CS or related field.
• 4–8 years hands-on network provisioning and service activation in telecom or service provider.
• Hands-on configuration and provisioning of Juniper MX, Cisco, Nokia devices; scripting and file transfer tools.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of approved orders and deliver them to successful service activation.
• Plan provisioning activities, book change windows, verify prerequisites before activation.
• Configure, activate, and commission services on live network per design and change processes.
• Coordinate with Field Engineers, NOC, customer contacts, and third parties for end-to-end delivery.
• Perform testing and validation against acceptance criteria and obtain customer sign-off.
• Diagnose and resolve provisioning issues; escalate to senior engineers when needed.
• Execute rollback procedures and return network to a stable state if required.
• Update inventory, provisioning records, and order systems upon task completion.
• Provide handover docs for Service Operations and ensure monitoring/alarming are configured.
• Offer post-activation support during warranty/early-life period and assist fault investigation.
• Work shifts and after-hours change windows; participate in on-call and escalation.
• Identify recurring provisioning issues and contribute to process improvements.
