Job summary

Agilent Technologies Australia(M) in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Toolmaker - CNC Specialist fitter to join our prototype machine shop. You will operate and program CNC equipment to turn product designs into precise parts for development projects.

You will also fabricate jigs and fixtures to streamline manufacturing, support rework activities, and apply strong machining skills with problem-solving creativity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in fitting and turning or tool making.
• Experience in a low volume production or prototype facility.
• High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to low tolerances.
• CNC programming experience and strong drawing comprehension with GD&T.

You will be required to work in a flexible manner with the product development team to turn product designs into reality. In additional, you will also be providing manufacturing support on part rework activities, fabricating jigs/fixture to improve the ease of manufacturing. This role would suit someone who has strong machining skills but who also is creative and able to solve engineering problems.
