The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a Grade 2 Prosthetist/Orthotist to provide high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care across the Royal Park Campus and Western Hospital. This full-time fixed-term role runs from January 4, 2027 to January 21, 2028.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess clients, prescribe devices, coordinate fabrication and supply, and support rehabilitation outcomes for complex musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics.
• Eligibility for registration with the NDIS.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Assess clients and prescribe, coordinate fabrication and supply of orthotic devices to support rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• Provide orthotic services through the Community Therapy Service (CTS) and prosthetic and orthotic care across other clinical streams.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person-centred rehabilitation care.
• Participate in CTS team meetings and case conferences to support effective outpatient rehabilitation programs.
• Support junior staff and contribute to clinical education and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
