Job summary

United Rentals on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Installation Supervisor to lead installation crews on major construction and infrastructure projects. You will oversee propping systems, plan site activities, and ensure safe, efficient delivery to high standards.

You’ll read drawings, coordinate labour and equipment, mentor team members and build strong customer relationships while promoting a robust safety culture across all sites.

About the Role

As a hands-on Installation Supervisor, you'll oversee crews installing and dismantling propping systems on some of the country's largest construction and infrastructure projects. You'll lead from the front, coordinate site activities and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading installation crews on construction, civil and infrastructure projects.


• Installing, dismantling and relocating propping systems in accordance with engineering designs and Australian Standards.


• Planning site activities and coordinating labour, equipment and project requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a practical leader who can motivate teams, build strong site relationships and deliver projects safely and successfully. You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience leading small crews within construction, civil, infrastructure, rigging, steel erection, formwork, shoring or propping environments.


• Valid driver’s licence.


• Basic or Intermediate Rigging ticket.


• Strong planning, organisational and people leadership skills.


• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.


• A proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service.


• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.


• A hands-on attitude and willingness to lead from the front.


• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and safe work practices.


• A high level of physical fitness and ability to work on active construction sites.
