United Rentals is seeking a hands-on Installation Supervisor to lead the delivery, installation and commissioning of pump and dewatering systems on major construction projects across Australia. Qualifications

• Experience leading crews in pumping, dewatering, civil or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, dewatering systems or related infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating site-based projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project plans and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment installation or maintenance.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

As a hands-on Installation Supervisor, you'll lead the delivery, installation and commissioning of pump and dewatering systems across major construction, civil, infrastructure and industrial projects. You'll coordinate crews, equipment and site activities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. This is a role for a practical leader who enjoys being on site, solving problems and building strong customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading crews installing, commissioning, monitoring and removing pump and dewatering systems.
• Planning and coordinating project activities, including labour, equipment, transport and site requirements.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with customer requirements, engineering specifications and project plans.
• Liaising with customers, engineers, contractors and site personnel to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Conducting site inspections, system checks and troubleshooting to ensure equipment performs effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating equipment availability, servicing and maintenance to ensure fleet readiness.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, project specifications and installation documentation.
• Training and supporting customers and team members on the safe operation and installation of equipment.
• Completing risk assessments, project documentation, equipment inspections and service records accurately.
• Identifying opportunities to support customer needs and grow the Pump & Dewatering business.
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with company and site requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a practical leader who can motivate teams, build strong customer relationships and successfully deliver projects in demanding site environments.

• Previous experience leading crews within pumping, dewatering, civil, construction, infrastructure, utilities, mining or industrial services environments.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, dewatering systems, fluid transfer equipment or related infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating site-based projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project plans and engineering specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment installation, servicing or maintenance.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with customers, contractors and project teams.
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service.
• Current driver's licence.
• HR licence, forklift licence, trade qualification or relevant industry tickets highly regarded.
• Experience in pumps, dewatering, water treatment or water management projects will be highly regarded.
• A hands-on attitude and willingness to lead from the front.
