Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a customer‑focused Service Coordinator to manage container solutions across construction and industrial projects in Australia. You’ll work with customers, contractors and operations to ensure on‑time delivery, installation and demobilisation, while prioritising safety and quality service.

In this fast‑paced role, you’ll read plans, schedule resources, liaise with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

About the Role

We’re looking for a customer-focused Service Coordinator to manage the delivery, installation, maintenance and demobilisation of container solutions across construction, infrastructure and industrial projects. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll work closely with customers, contractors and operational teams to keep projects on track and deliver outstanding service from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating container deliveries, installations, relocations and demobilisations.
• Conducting site inspections and assessing project requirements.
• Liaising with customers, site managers, contractors and transport providers.
• Scheduling labour, equipment, contractors and project resources.
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinating repairs, maintenance and preparation of equipment.
• Managing project schedules, documentation and contractor compliance.
• Conducting post-project inspections and preparing repair estimates.
• Ordering project consumables and managing supplier relationships.
• Supporting safe work practices through site inspections and risk assessments.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and customer outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a practical, hands‑on approach and a commitment to quality and customer service. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience in project coordination, field service, construction, logistics, equipment hire or a related industry.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience coordinating contractors, trades or site‑based activities.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documents.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and administrative capabilities.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Construction White Card and current driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence, EWP ticket or trade background highly regarded.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and commitment to safety and customer service.
