Job summary

Certainty Property is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Port Melbourne, overseeing a small residential portfolio. This full-time role sits in a full-service, high-touch agency setup where your portfolio is treated like your own business.

You’ll manage arrears, liaise with landlords and tenants, advertise vacancies, screen applicants and prepare leases, renewals and terminations while ensuring compliance with tenancy legislation and high service standards.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum experience in residential property management
• Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act and related legislation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record in managing a property portfolio and meeting KPIs
• Organised and detail-oriented with ability to multitask

Job description

Certainty Property is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Port Melbourne looking after our broader metropolitan business. This is a full-time role managing a small residential portfolio. We are a full service high touch agency and look for motivated team players who want to run their portfolio like its their own business.

What you'll be doing

Effectively managing a small portfolio of residential rental properties

Provide training and expert advice to develop with your team

Work closely with landlords to provide pro-active service

Advertising vacant properties, screening and vetting prospective tenants

Negotiating and preparing lease agreements, renewals and terminations

Handling owner inquiries, maintenance requests and resolving any issues promptly

Managing arrears and preparing VCAT submissions

Maintaining detailed property records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

Providing exceptional customer service to both tenants and landlords

What we're looking for

Minimum 12 months experience in residential property management

Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and other relevant legislation

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with tenants and landlords

Proven track record in managing a portfolio of properties and meeting key performance indicators

Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload

Proficient in using property management software and relevant real estate technology (Property ME, TAPI and Inspection Express )

Relevant real estate qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Property Services) are required.
