Job summary

Mills Oakley in Sydney is seeking a Lawyer or Associate (2-3 PQE) to join the Projects & Construction team, focusing on front-end transactional work for developer clients. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with a senior Partner and multiple lawyers on high-profile projects.

You will draft and negotiate construction agreements, support procurement and project delivery models, and advise on contract administration, risk allocation and compliance.

The Role

An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate (2-3 years’ PQE) to join our Projects & Construction team in Sydney. This opportunity will see you working directly with a senior Partner and several lawyers regarding predominantly front-end transactional construction work for our industry leading developer clients.

You will assist with drafting and negotiating construction agreements, support procurement processes and project delivery models, and provide advice on contract administration, risk allocation and compliance. You will work closely with other practitioners in the group on major infrastructure and development matters while preparing research, advice notes and project documentation.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Between 2-3 years’ experience from a mid or top-tier projects and construction practice group, ideally in front-end work. Experience from in-house roles will also be considered
• Solid drafting skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills
