Job summary

Western Power in Perth is seeking a Project Support Officer on a six‑month secondment to help deliver programs and projects through administrative support, reporting, analysis and coordination. You will process client requests, engage with stakeholders, and prepare documentation and KPIs with enterprise systems.

The role requires Year 12 with English and Maths, strong MS Office skills (incl. MS Projects) and experience in project environments.

Qualifications

  • Year 12 with English and Mathematics; project environment experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, prioritising, planning and coordinating skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with MS Projects is desirable.
  • Good stakeholder and customer focus with strong communication.
  • Knowledge of procurement, scheduling and cost control welcomed.
  • Capable of developing and working with complex spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake general program/project support activities and services.
  • Process customer or WAPC applications and respond to enquiries; prepare documentation.
  • Engage with customers and representatives to achieve outcomes.
  • Interrogate, gather and present detailed project information for stakeholders.
  • Assist managers and specialists in developing and coordinating deliverables.
  • Prepare cyclical business reports (KPIs, monthly/quarterly) using enterprise tools and ensure on-time delivery.

Project Support Officer - Six Month Secondment

Location: Perth Office - CBD, WA, AU

The role will be responsible for facilitating the successful delivery of programs and projects by undertaking a broad range of administrative duties and general support activities, confidential reporting, project analysis and specialised project duties to support the relevant functional area.

Your Role in Action

To undertake general program and or project support activities and services, confidential reporting, project analysis and specialised project duties to support the relevant functional area.

Process customer and/or WAPC applications and requests, respond to customer enquiries and prepare associated documentation and deliverables.

Engage directly with customers and their representatives as needed to achieve the required outcomes.

Interrogate,gather,and present detailed project information, statuses, and history in response to requests from internal stakeholders.

Assist program or project managers, technicalstaff,and specialists in developing and coordinating outcomes and deliverables for customer projects and requests.

Assist with the preparation of cyclical business reporting requirements (e.g. KPIs, monthly and quarterly reports) using enterprise systems, tools, and templates. Ensure all agreed reports and deliverables are on time and written to a high standard.

Manage, continuously improve, and innovate project administrative systems, and provide advice on project process and methodology issues.

Listen effectivelyand work collaboratively while maintaining appropriate, effective, and constructive interactions between key internal and external stakeholders.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Completed Year 12 (or equivalent) with English and Mathematics subjects with preferably experience within a project management environment or similar

Demonstrable, effective administrative, organisational, prioritising, planning, and coordinating skills preferably within a project, planning and / or scheduling environment

Experience with MS Office suite – preferably intermediate expertise in Microsoft applications inclusive of Microsoft Projects

Strong customer focus, stakeholder management, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of procurement, scheduling, and cost control activities

Capable of developing and working with complex spreadsheets

Proven personal effectiveness with business acumen
