Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced leader to oversee critical mining equipment projects and outages across NSW. You will supervise skilled field service teams, coordinate resources and maintain strong customer relationships while driving safe, high‑quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology or Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Experience leading teams in mining, heavy industry, field service, shutdowns or major maintenance environments.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate personnel, resources and project activities.
• Sound computer skills and ability to manage project documentation and reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and site teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement, leading by example in high‑risk environments.

Job description

Lead critical mining equipment projects and machine outages (excavators) across NSW while supervising skilled field service teams in a role that combines leadership, planning and customer engagement. You will be responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution, ensuring exceptional outcomes for both customers and the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced mining, mobile plant or heavy industry professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career. Working closely with technicians, customers and site stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering major shutdown and maintenance activities on some of the industry's largest and most advanced mining equipment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise field service teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality machine shutdowns, outages and project work.

Coordinate project activities, workforce requirements, and forward planning to ensure successful project execution.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing exceptional service and site support.

Drive a positive safety culture through leadership, compliance, housekeeping standards, and safe work practices.

Monitor team productivity and performance to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the required standard.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to operational excellence across service delivery.

Skills & Experience:

Relevant trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, or Automotive Electrical Technology.

Demonstrated experience leading teams in mining, heavy industry, field service, shutdowns or major maintenance environments.

Strong planning and scheduling skills, with the ability to coordinate personnel, resources, and project activities.

Sound computer and intermediate keyboard skills, including the ability to manage project documentation and reporting requirements.

Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and site-based teams.

A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead by example in high-risk work environments.
