Job summary

Contract Resources in Western Australia is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our WA team, supporting a major Tier 1 energy provider across a portfolio of ongoing core services and project-based activities.

Reporting to the Project Manager and collaborating with key stakeholders, you will plan, coordinate and deliver work scopes, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification or trade background in a relevant field, or 3+ years demonstrated experience within Oil & Gas, energy, mining, or industrial services sectors, including project supervision experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with the coordination and delivery of project activities, ensuring schedules, resources, and deliverables are effectively managed.
  • Coordinate project mobilisation activities, ensuring personnel, equipment, methodologies, and documentation are prepared before project commencement.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, and equipment requirements to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of project methodologies, equipment spreads, and relevant project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards and report any areas of non-compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
  • Support procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with commercial project activities including estimates, variations, order book management, and invoicing requirements.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure project activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual and client requirements.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, Contract Resources is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our WA team, supporting a major Tier 1 energy provider across a portfolio of ongoing core services and project-based activities.

Reporting to the Project Manager and partnering closely with key stakeholders, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering work scopes, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers a mix of office-based and site-based responsibilities, providing exposure to project planning, resource coordination, documentation, client engagement and project execution.

Working alongside experienced project teams and industry professionals, you'll gain valuable exposure to the energy sector while building your project delivery capabilities and developing a strong foundation for future career growth.

Duties will include but are not limited to

Requirements & Experience Needed
  • Tertiary qualification or trade background in a relevant field, or a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience within the Oil & Gas, energy, mining, or industrial services sectors, including project supervision experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects within time, budget, and safety expectations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of relevant service lines and operational requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, performance-driven mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead by example and promote a strong safety culture.
