Job summary

Verse is seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to support brownfield asset maintenance and improvements in the Pilbara, with FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster.

You will develop and maintain schedules, coordinate labour and materials, support shutdown readiness, and track performance from planning through close-out. You’ll work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Experience with brownfield projects or asset maintenance.
• Strong scheduling and resource planning skills.
• Experience using SAP or similar work management systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned to milestones.
• Plan work orders, labour, materials and resources for execution.
• Coordinate resources, equipment and materials with project teams.
• Track progress, hours, usage and completion against plan.
• Support shutdown readiness and readiness for execution.
• Coordinate procurement including requisitions and subcontracts.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and delays; propose corrective actions.
• Prepare project reporting, KPIs and risk updates.
• Maintain SAP records and work orders through close-out.

Support the delivery of critical brownfield asset projects through effective planning, scheduling and resource coordination.

We’re looking for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join a large and complex organisation, supporting the delivery of brownfield asset maintenance, replacement and improvement projects in the Pilbara.

This is a FIFO opportunity from Perth on an 8:6 roster, offering the chance to work across complex projects in a dynamic operational environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner / Scheduler with strong project planning and scheduling experience who enjoys working across project teams, resources, contractors and key stakeholders to keep complex projects moving.

Working across the project lifecycle, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating labour and resources, supporting shutdown readiness and tracking project performance from planning through to close-out.

About the Role:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, aligning activities with project milestones and delivery requirements.
• Plan work orders, labour requirements, materials and resources to support project execution.
• Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to coordinate resources, equipment and materials.
• Track project progress, labour hours, material usage and work order completion, identifying issues or deviations from plan.
• Support shutdown readiness by ensuring work, resources, equipment and systems are prepared for execution.
• Coordinate procurement activities including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, materials and subcontractor requirements.
• Identify scheduling risks, bottlenecks and potential delays, recommending corrective actions where required.
• Prepare project reporting and provide updates on progress, KPIs, resource requirements and key risks.
• Ensure project documentation, SAP records and work orders are accurately maintained through to close-out.
• Work across multiple parties and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of brownfield projects.

About You

• You’re an organised and proactive Planner / Scheduler who can work comfortably across project planning, resource coordination and project delivery.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Experience working across brownfield projects, asset maintenance or similar operational environments.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, resource planning and project delivery.
• Experience using SAP or similar work management systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster.
• Experience across asset replacement, upgrades, structural remediation, maintenance or shutdown projects will be highly regarded.
