Job summary

Premier's Department NSW is seeking a Project Officer in the Community Partnerships Branch to support delivery of policy and program initiatives for Aboriginal communities. You will coordinate projects, provide operational support, and collaborate with government agencies, community organisations and Aboriginal stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for Discrete Aboriginal Communities.

A key focus is engaging with communities through the Aboriginal Communities Emergency Management Program,

Qualifications

• Some experience supporting policy initiatives or service delivery projects.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with government, community and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated awareness of and ability to communicate respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Ability to analyse information and contribute to advice that supports program outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams, agencies and communities.

Responsibilities

• Support policy and program initiatives delivery, including research, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate projects and provide operational and administrative support.
• Travel across NSW to engage with communities and stakeholders.
• Work with government agencies, community organisations and Aboriginal stakeholders.
