Job summary

Searson Buck Group is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead major capital infrastructure projects in Tasmania. You will oversee the full lifecycle from feasibility to completion, working with internal teams, contractors and consultants to deliver high-value capital works.

The role requires at least five years of project management and contract administration experience in civil or infrastructure environments, plus a qualification in a relevant field. A driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in project management and contract administration in civil, industrial, commercial construction or infrastructure.
• Strong capital works and infrastructure delivery experience with practical contract administration and tender management.
• Experience reviewing designs against relevant Australian Standards; sound commercial judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Managing infrastructure and capital works projects from concept through to completion.

Project Managers - Major Capital Projects

Deliver complex infrastructure projects from concept through to completion

These PM positions provide the opportunity to manage significant capital projects in technically demanding environments. You will take ownership of projects across the complete lifecycle while working with experienced internal teams, contractors and specialist consultants to plan and deliver high-value and strategically important capital works projects.

You will hold a relevant trade, diploma or tertiary qualification and have experience delivering complex infrastructure or capital works projects. A civil or structural engineering qualification, formal project management qualification or relevant professional registration would be well regarded.

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager or Managing Director, you will manage the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, design review, estimating, procurement, construction oversight, contract administration and project completion.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing infrastructure and capital works projects from concept through to completion.

• Practical contract administration and tender management capability.
• Experience reviewing designs against relevant Australian Standards.
• Sound commercial judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Effective project planning, scheduling and risk management capability.
• Strong contractor, consultant and stakeholder management skills.
• Superintendent experience (desirable).
• A current driver’s licence is required.
