Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee utility infrastructure projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will oversee planning, execution, and completion of water, electricity, or gas networks, coordinating with technical teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure reliable service delivery.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with project management methodologies, and leadership and communication abilities to drive progress and compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in utilities or infrastructure.
• Experience managing water, power or gas distribution projects.
• Understanding of utility operations, construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of utility infrastructure projects from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with engineering, field operations and external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards and environmental policies.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate updates to internal stakeholders and community representatives.
