Job summary

Talent International is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master for a utilities technology program in Melbourne. This hybrid role blends project governance with hands-on Agile delivery to support a major GIS platform.

The ideal candidate will manage scope, schedule, risks and dependencies while leading Scrum ceremonies and ensuring smooth release cycles across business, tech, and vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Project Manager / Scrum Master or hybrid delivery role.
• Utilities or electricity industry experience is highly regarded.
• Proven track record delivering complex technology projects.
• Strong hands-on Agile/Scrum delivery with regular release cycles.
• Strong project planning, RAID, governance and reporting capability.
• Experience working with technical teams and SMEs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
• GIS or spatial technology experience highly regarded.
• Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential.
• Opportunity to support a significant, multi-year technology program.
• Broad role combining project management and hands-on Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery across scope, schedule, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies.
• Coordinate and drive fortnightly release cycles.
• Maintain project plans, RAID registers, governance and delivery reporting.
• Work closely with the Technical Lead and GIS SMEs to manage priorities and outcomes.
• Identify and remove blockers impacting project delivery.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business, technology and vendor teams.
• Provide clear progress and status reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Support delivery and configuration of a major GIS platform.
