Evolution Mining is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex business and technology initiatives within a growing PMO. You will drive end-to-end delivery, guide governance, and influence senior stakeholders to navigate ambiguity and deliver measurable benefits.

This role blends disciplined project controls with pragmatic leadership across diverse teams and external partners. Based in the Sydney office with flexible work options, you will partner with sponsors and operations leaders

About the Role

This is not a role for someone who simply administers project plans and governance processes.

We’re looking for a project leader who understands that successful delivery is achieved through stakeholder engagement, sound judgement and the ability to navigate complexity as much as it is through methodology and project controls.

You will join a growing PMO environment where there is an opportunity to influence how projects are delivered, contribute to the evolution of project management practices and help drive greater organisational capability over time.

Working across a broad portfolio of technology-enabled business initiatives, you will partner with leaders across the business to deliver outcomes that support Evolution’s ongoing growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic business and technology projects, from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
• Partner closely with business sponsors, operational leaders and technology teams to define and deliver project outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Provide clear and insightful reporting to project sponsors and governance forums.
• Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and support informed decision making.
• Manage external vendors and delivery partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to the ongoing uplift of project delivery frameworks, standards and governance practices.

About You

You’re an experienced Project Manager who has successfully delivered complex business and technology initiatives in environments where maturity, process and governance have continued to evolve.

Comfortable with creating structure where ambiguity exists, you can recognise when flexibility, influence and commercial judgement are required to maintain momentum and deliver outcomes.

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-wide projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across business and technology functions.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and business sponsors to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated success operating within evolving PMO or project delivery environments.
• Strong commercial, vendor management and governance capability.
• Experience managing project financials, risks, dependencies and competing priorities.
• A pragmatic approach to project leadership, balancing discipline with adaptability.
• The confidence and credibility to engage with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively when required.
