Job summary

Sideshow Consulting is seeking an experienced project manager to guide the full life cycle of critical hardware and software products. You will coordinate software, hardware design, signal processing, ML teams, customers and suppliers to deliver cutting-edge, compliant systems on time and on budget.

The role sits within a talented Australian R&D team backed by a major international technology company, offering hybrid work and strong project security. Australian citizenship is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or electronics engineering.
• Project management certification.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary product development projects.
• Budgeting and financials experience.
• Track record of successful project delivery.
• Understanding of systems engineering in software development context.
• Australian citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of hardware/software products.
• Coordinate with software, hardware design, signal processing, ML teams, customers and suppliers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Job description

Utilise your end-to-end project management experience to guide the full life cycle development of critical products and systems incorporating both hardware and software. This interesting role will see you working with multi-disciplinary (software, hardware design, signal processing, ML) engineering teams, customers and component suppliers to deliver cutting-edge, compliant systems on time and on budget. Critical Skills and Experience:

• A computer science or electronics engineering degree
• A project management certification
• Experience managing multidisciplinary product development projects
• Budgeting and financials experience
• A track record of successful project delivery
• An understanding of systems engineering in a software development context
• Australian citizenship (essential - classified technology)

Helpful Experience

• A prior background in software engineering or hardware design
• Experience working with C/C++, FPGA, machine learning /AI and DSP engineers
• Experience in a regulated industry sector, e.g., defence, biotech, payments, gaming
• Exposure to technology such as autonomous vehicles, radar, sonar, biomedical devices, gaming machines
