Job summary

Hall Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex dredging and marine infrastructure projects across Australia. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, schedules and risks, with FIFO rosters 2:1 and 3:1, delivering outcomes across challenging environments.

You will coordinate stakeholders and drive safety, environmental and quality compliance while mentoring engineers and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree required.
• Experience as Project Engineer/Project Manager in civil, marine, mining or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts and reporting requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive project outcomes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify project risks and opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively in remote FIFO environments.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers, supervisors and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support the successful delivery of projects to ensure works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and clients.
• Assist with or lead project planning, procurement, reporting and cost control activities.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and contractual requirements.
• Support and drive safety, environmental and quality compliance across all project activities.
• Prepare and review project documentation, forecasting and progress reporting.
• Identify project risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and communication throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support engineers, supervisors and site personnel where required.

The Opportunity

Hall Contracting is looking for an experienced Project Manager ready to take their skills somewhere different. Whether you're coming from mining, civil or infrastructure, this is an opportunity to step away from the usual projects and environments and get stuck into work that is genuinely unique.

You’ll be delivering projects across dredging, offshore pipelines, marine infrastructure, coastal protection, reclamation and civil works, in challenging locations across Australia. Expect variety, responsibility and the chance to build experience across a side of construction that most Project Managers don't get to see.

With 2:1 and 3:1 FIFO rosters, this is a chance to keep doing what you're good at, but on projects that are anything but ordinary.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager or similar role within civil, marine, mining or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery, safety and quality requirements
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts and reporting requirements
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive successful project outcomes
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify project risks and opportunities
• Ability to work effectively in remote FIFO environments
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers, supervisors and site personnel will be highly regarded
