Job summary

Amida Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Canberra team. The role involves delivering a variety of construction projects from commercial and retail to education and government sectors, from front-end through to delivery.

You will manage client relationships, procurement, contracts, design development, and risk across live sites while ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes. Excellent progression opportunities and a supportive culture are on offer.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management or similar.
• 5+ years’+ experience in either a client-side PM role or head contractor.
• Proven end-to-end project management skills from concept through to completion.
• Exposure to program management, timelines and critical paths.
• Experience of end-to-end project management on a variety of building projects, commercial fit out would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skillset both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to think on your feet and excellent problem-solving skills; proficient with MS Office and standard contract forms.

Our client is a growing boutique project management consultancy with an established pipeline of Retail, Education, Health, Hospitality, Hotels, Aged Care, Office and Government sectors to name a few. Projects can be fit out / refurbishment, upgrades as well as new build projects. They are now looking for anexperienced Project Manager to join their successful team in Canberra.

The candidate can come from a head contractor or a client-side background with excellent progression opportunities. Candidates ideally will have experience working across a variety of construction projects in different phases of the construction lifecycle from front end through to delivery.

Candidates will need to have strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skillsets. The ACT office is smaller than the other state offices and there is good growth opportunities.
