Lancesoft Australia is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager for a permanent, site-based role in Cairns. You will lead multiple projects, oversee planning, procurement, resourcing and delivery, and manage budgets, progress claims and final accounts.

You will mentor Project Engineers and Site Engineers, manage subcontractors and stakeholders, ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and maintain project records. A long-term Cairns relocation is preferred.

Qualificações

• At least 10 years' experience on civil construction projects at PM level.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience delivering water infrastructure and TMR projects; airport or major civ infra is valued.
• Current TMR personnel schedule approval.
• Proven delivery and commercial accountability.

About the Role:

• Manage a major project or several smaller projects at the same time
• Lead planning, programming, procurement, resourcing and construction delivery
• Manage budgets, forecasts, costs, progress claims, variations and final accounts
• Administer the contract and protect HEH Civil's commercial position
• Lead and develop our Project Engineers and Site Engineers, and manage Supervisors, subcontractors and site teams
• Deliver Transport and Main Roads projects in line with contract, personnel schedule and reporting requirements
• Manage safety, quality, environmental and project compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate project records, reporting and documentation
• Build strong relationships with clients, superintendent, authorities and stakeholders
• Identify project risks early and make practical decisions to keep work moving
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required standard

About you

You will be an established civil construction Project Manager who is comfortable taking responsibility, making decisions and developing the engineers around you.

• At least 10 years' experience working on civil construction projects in Australia at a Project Manager level
• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Proven experience delivering water infrastructure and Transport and Main Roads projects, with airport or other major civil infrastructure experience highly regarded
• Current Transport and Main Roads personnel schedule approval
• A track record of taking full responsibility for project delivery and commercial outcomes
• Strong contract administration, programming and cost control capability
• Experience managing progress claims, variations, subcontractors and suppliers
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing Project Engineers and Site Engineers
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills
• A practical approach to safety, quality, risk and problem-solving
• Field or plant operation experience will be highly regarded

Relocation

We are ideally looking for an experienced Project Manager who is willing to relocate to Cairns for the long term.

This is a permanent, full-time, site-based role in Cairns, with travel between project sites as required. Regional work may involve overnight stays depending on the project.
