Job summary

Monteath & Powys, a trusted multi-disciplinary consultancy in NSW, seeks a Project Manager for our Built Infrastructure team based at Newcastle West. You will contribute to a strong pipeline of exciting projects shaping communities and infrastructure.

We value collaboration, a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or Engineering and hands-on project management experience across diverse sectors, including education, infrastructure and government.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects in strata residential, education, infrastructure, commercial, or government sectors.
• Proven capability across all stages of project management—from relationship building and design through procurement, contract administration, construction and handover.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A current NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Highly developed computer skills and aptitude.
• A current Working with Children Check (for paid employment) or willingness to obtain one.
• A team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to our positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects end-to-end across education, infrastructure, and government sectors.
• Build relationships, drive design, procurement, contracts, construction and handover activities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure project milestones are met.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Built Infrastructure team in our newNewcastle Westoffice and contribute to our strong pipeline of exciting projects.

About You

We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative professional with:

A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience managing projects in strata residential, education, infrastructure, commercial, or government sectors.

Proven capability across all stages of project management — from relationship building and design through to procurement, contract administration/superintendency, construction, and handover.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

A current NSW Driver’s Licence.

Highly developed computer skills and aptitude.

A current Working with Children Check (for paid employment) or willingness to obtain one.

A team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to our positive workplace culture.
