Job summary

Monteath & Powys is seeking a qualified Surveyor to join our Newcastle team. You will conduct field surveys using GNSS and Total Stations and prepare survey data, plans, and reports for diverse projects.

You will liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to meet requirements, ensure compliance with legislation and safety protocols, and mentor staff on project delivery. A current driver’s licence and White Card are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Surveying or Spatial Science.
• Experience in Construction, Rail, Topo, and Control.
• Proficiency with surveying software: 12d, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.

The Role

As a Surveyor at Monteath & Powys, you will be involved in a wide range of projects including land development, infrastructure, construction, and spatial data capture. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys using GNSS and Total Stations
• Prepare and manage survey data, plans, and reports
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure project requirements are met

• Mentor staff where appropriate and contribute to team development

About You
