Job summary

Jv-Recruitment is actively seeking a proven Fitout Project Manager to own diverse, high-spec commercial schemes across Sydney from a base in Alexandria.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, manage budgets and coordinate subcontractors, while liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget handovers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years dedicated fitout experience in Australia.
• Minimum 5+ years as a Project Manager in commercial fitout.
• Experience delivering fitout schemes valued between $1M and $5M.
• Strong contracts, procurement, programming software, and financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial site hand-over through commissioning and practical completion, on-time and within budget.
• Oversee project budgets, cost reporting, variation approvals, progress claims and final accounts.
• Procure, negotiate and manage trade contractors, maintaining delivery programs and high workmanship.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, superintendents and consultants with transparent reporting.
• Enforce site safety (WHS) protocols and QA processes for zero-defect handovers.

Are you a proven Fitout Project Manager looking to take ownership of diverse, high-spec commercial schemes across Sydney? We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Project Manager with 5+ years of dedicated fitout experience to join our growing team based in Alexandria. In this role, you will take full end-to-end responsibility for delivering key commercial fitout projects valued up to $5M, ranging from high-end corporate office spaces and banking branches to vibrant hospitality venues and RSL clubs.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Delivery: Lead projects from initial site hand-over through to commissioning and practical completion, ensuring builds are delivered on time and within budget.
• Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, cost reporting, variation approvals, progress claims, and final accounts.
• Subcontractor & Supplier Control: Procure, negotiate, and manage specialized trade contractors, maintaining strict delivery programs and high workmanship standards.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, superintendents, and consultants, delivering transparent reporting and maintaining strong relationships.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce strict site safety (WHS) protocols and maintain comprehensive QA processes to ensure zero-defect handovers.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven Experience: Minimum 5+ years as a Project Manager specifically within the commercial fitout sector in Australia.
• Track Record: Clear, demonstrable history of successfully delivering fitout schemes valued between $1M and $5M.
• Sector Diversity: Hands-on exposure delivering projects across office fitouts, hospitality venues, financial institutions/banks, and RSL licensed clubs.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, programming software (MS Project or similar), and financial management systems.
• Communication & Leadership: High-level negotiation, problem-solving, and site leadership skills.
