Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager - Security to lead a portfolio of security projects from initiation through completion in our Sydney office. You will collaborate with customers, contractors and internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction on high-profile infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Electronic Security and Access Control (EACS) projects.
• Knowledge of integrated security solutions (access control, intrusion detection, CCTV).
• Experience in commercial, critical infrastructure, or enterprise security environments.
• Understanding of IT networking, network communications and hardware configuration.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and project financial management experience.
• Current NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain) is highly desirable.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of security projects, providing leadership from project initiation through to successful completion. Working closely with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you'll drive project performance while maintaining exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of security projects.

Manage project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Monitor and report on project financial performance, forecasts, and productivity metrics.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.

Champion workplace safety and ensure compliance with all WHS, OHS&E, and company standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance project outcomes.

Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain high standards of professionalism, quality, accuracy, and customer focus across all project activities.

About You

We're seeking a motivated and results-driven project professional with a strong background in electronic security systems and a passion for delivering successful customer outcomes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience managing Electronic Security and Access Control (EACS) projects.

Strong knowledge of integrated security solutions, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and associated technologies.

Experience working within commercial, critical infrastructure, or enterprise security environments.

Solid understanding of IT networking, network communications, and hardware configuration.

Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing skills.

Strong commercial acumen and project financial management experience.
