Job summary

Sideshow Consulting is seeking a project manager to guide the full life cycle development of complex hardware and software products. You will work with software, hardware, signal processing and ML teams, customers and suppliers in a hybrid Sydney-based role.

The ideal candidate holds a CS/EE degree and a project management certification, with a track record of delivering multidisciplinary projects and strong budgeting skills in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Utilise your high-tech project management experience to guide the full life cycle development of complex products and systems incorporating both hardware and software. This critical role will see you working with multi-disciplinary (software, hardware design, signal processing, ML) engineering teams, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver sophisticated, compliant systems on time and on budget. Enjoy working for a global, multi-billion-dollar technology company with a strong focus on R&D.

Critical Skills and Experience:

• A computer science or electronics engineering degree

• Budgeting and project cost-accounting experience

Helpful Experience

• A background in software engineering or hardware design
• Experience working with C/C++, FPGA, machine learning and DSP engineers
• Experience in a regulated industry sector, e.g., defence, biomedical, payments
• Exposure to technology such as autonomous vehicles, radar, sonar, biomedical devices
