Permanent full‑time role, based in the lovely Northern Beaches of Sydney, NSW. Ideally have Australian Citizenship and ability to work on‑site and travel as required.

Position details

The position reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The Embedded Firmware Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the specification, design and verification of in‑house and ODM/OEM products for Australian Monitor. The role will include new and ongoing development of the product range from an engineering standpoint.

Key Role Criteria

• Minimum 10 years experience
• Embedded firmware design and development for ARM, SHARC DSP, Blackfin, and other microcontroller platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP.
• Highly proficient C programming skills.
• Digital audio signal processing (DSP).
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
• Experience debugging, testing, and diagnosing embedded systems.
• Understanding product design processes and the complete product lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional engineering team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ideally hold Australian Citizenship or PR accepted.
