RAPID CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD in Sydney, NSW seeks an experienced Project Manager for Commercial/Industrial Design & Construct projects up to AUD 20m. You will define project scope, objectives, budget and program in consultation with senior management and clients, focusing on CBD projects in the City of Sydney LGA.
You will develop detailed programmes, staging and resourcing plans, lead project startup with contract review, risk register and procurement schedule, and coordinate design consultants
$140,000 – $160,000 per year to be negotiated
Project Manager for Commercial / Industrial Design & Construct projects up to $20m in NSW. You will define project scope, objectives, budget and program in consultation with senior management and clients with a focus on CBD projects in the City of Sydney LGA. You will develop detailed project programmes, staging plans and resourcing plans, and lead project startup including contract review, risk register, procurement schedule and communication protocols.

Lead project startup: contract review, risk register, procurement schedule and communication protocols
Coordinate design consultants (architects, engineers, services, specialist designers) from concept to IFC/for construction
Ensure design meets client brief, budget, programme and statutory/regulatory requirements
Administer head contract obligations, notices, correspondence and deliverables in conjunction with the Contract Administrator
Monitor project budget, cost forecasts, variations and cash flow; drive cost control and margin protection
Establish and maintain the construction program, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning milestones
Lead procurement strategy and selection of key subcontractors and suppliers
Provide leadership to Site Managers, Foremen and site teams to ensure safe, productive and high-quality delivery
Ability to manage design reviews, value management, buildability input and timely resolution of RFIs and design issues
Experience monitoring progress on site, identifying delays and implementing recovery strategies
Ability to coordinate sequencing, access and interfaces between trades to minimise disruption and rework
Experience managing performance of subcontractors and consultants against time, cost, quality and safety expectations
Knowledge of WHS legislation, company safety systems and site-specific safety plans
Experience overseeing implementation of quality management plans, inspections, test plans and defect management
Ability to act as primary point of contact for the client, superintendent and key stakeholders
Experience coordinating planning, building, services and authority approvals, permits and inspections
Knowledge of Building Code, NCC and relevant Australian Standards
Experience reporting on cost, program, risk, cash flow and forecast final position
