Orica in Kurri Kurri, NSW, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the capital project programme for Fixed Plant across the AusPac Mining Services Region, ensuring governance and hazard study processes are applied.

The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in office per week, with travel up to 25% to sites. You will manage planning, design, and delivery, build stakeholder relationships, and drive governance and cost control.

• PM qualifications essential; engineering or related degree highly regarded.
• 5+ years capital project management in industrial settings.

About the role

We are delighted to offer opportunity to an experienced Project Manager to support the management of the capital project programme for Fixed Plant across the AusPac Mining Services Region. This role ensures strong governance, compliance with Orica’s project processes, and application of hazard study processes for all projects.

The position is in Kurri Kurri, NSW. (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office per week, may change per Orica direction).

What you will be doing

• Leading safe execution of projects, ensuring compliance with SHEC requirements and regulatory standards.
• Managing planning, design, implementation, and delivery of capital projects to achieve business objectives.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, costs, and performance; prepare capitalisations and forecasts.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Driving business improvement through governance, cost control, and process optimisation.
• Travel to sites on as required basis up to 25% of time.

What you will bring

• Qualifications in Project Management are essential, with degrees in engineering or other relevant disciplines highly regarded. Significant industry experience will also be considered;
• 5+ years managing capital projects in an industrial environment, with strong commercial acumen and governance focus;
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Excel, SAP 4S and Smartsheet;
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills;
