Job summary

Smoke Control Systems Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead and support a team of installers in Victoria. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and act as the primary contact for high-level stakeholders, managing accounts and ensuring project success.

The role includes a fully maintained vehicle and mobile phone, with autonomy to manage multiple projects, negotiate with clients, and drive strategic company goals. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction/Project Management or Engineering; PM Certification.
• Demonstrated industry knowledge and contacts; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of installers located in Victoria.
• Act as primary contact for high-level stakeholders and client builders.
• Escalate and resolve critical roadblocks with project managers and in-house engineering when needed.
• Strategic planning of the company’s long-term goals and project success.

Job description

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager and requires you to work autonomously, managing and supporting a team of installers located in Victoria while managing key some projects (accounts) yourself.This role includes a fully maintained vehicle and mobile phone. The role's accountability include;

The collective success of all projects

The professional growth of the team

Customer Advocacy, acting as the primary point of contact for high-level stake holders

Problem Solving, serving as the final point of escalation for the project managers to resolve critical roadblocks and technical issues (or in house engineering team typically assist with this prior to project award)

Strategic planning of the companies long term goals.

About you

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills – exposure to construction industry platforms is an advantage
• Both practical and theoretical experience in the construction industry
• Confidence in communicating and negotiating with clients/builders
• Exceptional organisational and reporting skills
• Mature and have the ability to show initiative
• Proven leadership skills and experience

Must Haves
