Reemoon China is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale automation projects for fresh fruit packing and handling facilities across Australia. You will coordinate customers, sales, engineering, software, electrical, mechanical, service and installation teams to ensure safe, timely delivery within scope and budget.

This hands-on coordination role suits someone who excels with people, technology, customers and complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, project coordination, operations coordination, service delivery, contractor coordination, facilities, asset management, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, deadlines, suppliers, contractors and project activities.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex tasks or projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, project tracking and document management systems.
  • Travel to customer sites for project meetings, installation planning, commissioning support and project reviews may be required; interstate and international travel possible.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from pre-sale handover through design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, training and final close-out.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action lists and project documentation.
  • Coordinate internal resources across sales, engineering, software, electrical, mechanical, service and installation teams.
  • Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, site trades and customer-side responsibilities.
  • Monitor critical project dates, equipment deliveries, site readiness, installation windows and commissioning deadlines.
  • Consider seasonal and operational constraints within fresh produce and packhouse environments.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
  • Build strong and professional relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Lead or facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear project updates.
  • Manage expectations and communicate project decisions, changes, responsibilities and risks.
  • Coordinate the resolution of technical, commercial and site-related issues.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, costs, margins and progress against agreed deliverables.
  • Identify and document scope changes, variations, delays and commercial impacts.
  • Support the preparation and approval of project variations.
  • Track supplier, contractor, labour and project-related costs.
  • Support invoicing milestones, customer approvals and payment documentation.
  • Identify and escalate commercial risks at an early stage.
  • Coordinate preparation for customer-site installation.
  • Confirm site readiness, access, services, safety requirements and customer responsibilities.
  • Plan installation labour, subcontractors, equipment, tools and travel requirements.
  • Coordinate installation sequencing around customer operations and site constraints.
  • Support commissioning, defect resolution, punch-list management and final handover.
  • Ensure project completion and handover documentation is properly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including meeting minutes, action lists, drawings, approvals, variations, risk registers and close-out documentation.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for management and customers.
  • Ensure project information is accurate, current and accessible.
  • Record lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Help develop and improve project management systems, templates and workflows.
  • Improve the handover process from sales to project delivery.
  • Support resource planning across installation, commissioning and service teams.
  • Identify recurring project issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Contribute to building a structured and scalable project delivery model.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to join our growing team and lead the delivery of large-scale automation projects for fresh fruit packing and handling facilities across Australia.

Our projects can involve bin handling, washing, treatment, drying, optical sorting, grading, automated packing, palletising, electrical systems, controls, software and customer-site installation.

As Project Manager, you will act as the central coordination point between customers, sales, engineering, software, electrical, mechanical, service, suppliers, contractors and installation teams. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and in line with agreed scope and commercial requirements.

This is a hands‑on coordination role suited to someone who enjoys working across people, technology, customers and complex projects.

Technical experience in automation, machinery, electrical systems, fabrication, manufacturing, software or fresh produce handling is highly regarded. However, we are also open to highly organised professionals from operations, service delivery, facilities, asset management, contractor management or customer‑facing coordination backgrounds who are motivated to develop their technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery

Required Experience
Essential
  • Experience in project management, project coordination, operations coordination, service delivery, contractor coordination, facilities, asset management, customer account coordination or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, deadlines, suppliers, contractors and project activities.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex tasks or projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, project tracking and document management systems.
Highly Regarded

Experience in one or more of the following will be advantageous:

  • Industrial automation or machinery.
  • Fresh produce, food processing or packhouse operations.
  • Manufacturing, packaging or materials handling.
  • Electrical systems, PLCs and industrial controls.
  • Machine vision, robotics or industrial software.
  • Equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Customer‑site installation or service coordination.
  • Working with overseas suppliers or international equipment manufacturers.
  • Engineering, electrical, mechanical or mechatronics environments.
  • Formal project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
Travel Requirements

This position will require travel to customer sites for project meetings, installation planning, commissioning support and project reviews.

Interstate and international travel may be required depending on project locations and business requirements. At certain stages of major projects, the role may involve frequent site visits or extended periods at customer facilities across Australia.
