Job summary

BMD Group is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Adelaide team, delivering on complex transport and water infrastructure projects. You will provide onsite engineering services, supervise programming, staging and construction methodologies, and ensure compliance with legislation and contract requirements.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years in civil construction, you’ll lead a collaborative team, build strong client relationships, and drive safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in the civil construction industry with at least 2 years in project management.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary civil projects including water/sewer and transport construction.
• Collaborative management style to build a close, outcome-focused team.
• Strong commercial acumen, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Stakeholder and client engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Effectively deliver programming, staging and construction methodologies.
• Achieve compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Manage team outputs across profitability, efficiency and human relations.
• Lead monthly assessments and forecasts of project’s financial performance.

About The Role

You will provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements across your portfolio of transport and water infrastructure projects. The Successful Candidate Will Be a Self-starter With

• a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• over 10 years’ experience in the civil construction industry with over two years’ experience specifically in project management
• experience in multi-disciplinary civil projects including water/sewer and transport construction
• a collaborative management style to build a close, outcome focused team
• strong commercial acumen, leadership and negotiation skills
• stakeholder and client engagement experience
